Family Ministry
The mission of family ministry is to provide opportunities for parents and children of St. Michael’s to grow in Christ together and support the spiritual growth of family and children. Through all sorts of activities offered during the year, families grow in the faith, are encouraged by fellowship, journey through life’s struggles, and celebrate the milestones of our families together. The Children and Family Ministries Council meets periodically to plan family activities and support other ministries. In addition to fun activities, we endeavor to support parents in the important role of nurturing their children to know and love God in a variety of ways. We all need friends and support during the blessed and important years of child rearing. FOPS (Families of Preschoolers) is a group that meets on the first Friday of every month at 6pm. This is a group for parents with children nursery age. Each night there is a speaker or activity planned, dinner is potluck, the nursery is open for children.
